I just learned about another variation of “phone” and “cell phone” scams. This type of scam is fairly ties to the types of scam that I posted about before. In this new type of scam the victim is tricked into changing their phone or cell phone provider. The scam company offers very cheap prices to the scam victim to get them to switch. Once the scam victim switches their phone or cell phone provider the new scam company increases the rates without notice. I am now shock of all the different types of scams going on out there. That is why I want to keep you informed. Knowing about how these scams operate is the best prevention since then you can clearly identify a scam.

In this post I want to talk to you about another scam that is happening with phones. This is a very popular scam that many people fall for. Once again, knowing about scam and being able to recognize them beforehand is the best protection. In this kind of scam the victim buys a phone service. Then the scammer (provider) charges you extra for services that the victim did not request or where not provided. Many fake companies also use this type of scam to sell people ring tones, applications and other types of services that they may continue charging even after you have cancelled them. Again, this is a very common scam and it is very easy to fall for; so keep your eyes open and pay close attention to your bills so that you can make sure that you are not a victim of scam.

We all have heard about real estate scams, internet scams, social media scams but there is a new way that scammers are using to get more victims. These are “cell phones scams”. You may have already about this kind of scam. In this kind of scam the victim gets a voicemail or e-mail that asks them to call a certain number. This number usually begins with “809” or “890”. Once the victim of the scams dials the number they are connected to the Dominican Republic and they are charged quite some money for every minute they are on the scam line.
